Moritz Bierling On Achieving Full Agency Inside All Arenas [PODCAST #622]

Moritz Bierling returns for another marathon conversation about how individuals can be navigators of increasingly complex and dysfunctional communications arenas. The primary focus is what Moritz refers to as the Agent/Arena Relationship. Arenas - be they social, political, cultural, or economic - are breaking down all around us, and many people struggle to figure out how to adapt and thrive (or maybe just survive) in this flux. We talk about how to achieve stability through adaptability in these situations. One of the keys is the building of "internal coherence" or self-integration. Dis-integrated selves cannot be the building blocks of harmonious or even sustainable groups or institutions. Such harmony requires individual agents with the ability to read and understand the dynamics ...

[BONUS] Episode 540 Extras: Pre-Show, Outtakes, and Brett’s San Francisco Driving Meltdown

(AUDIO, 45 MINUTES) This audio picks up at the end of the regular show. It includes a pre-show in which we discuss Conspira-Tour! Specifically Dealey Plaza and the JFK assassination. This is followed by a couple of outtakes that didn't fit in with the conversation I wanted to present. There is some commentary from me, attempting to clear up contradiction and confusion. Finally, you'll get an unreleased drive journal, back from early November in which I experience a small meltdown as I arrive in San Francisco. Make sure you listen to the regular show! CORE TOPIC - Why does school suck?

John Taylor Gatto

CORE TOPIC - What does self-directed education look like?

Peter Gray - Self-Directed Education

The realization that school sucks actually marks the beginning of a new and exciting educational journey.

Welcome to SchoolSucksProject.com. We strive to provide young people with the building blocks of intellectual, financial and lifestyle independence. This includes in-depth explorations into higher-level thinking, organization and productivity, emotional and physical health, habit and lifestyle optimization, history and philosophy, psychology, self-directed learning, entrepreneurship, and communication/negotiation strategies. It's all essential information, but almost none of it is taught in school. Our content is ideal for frustrated high school and college students, home-educating parents, and adults who are interested in independently furthering their education and achieving self-actualization.
