While how I use the internet may be detrimental to my immediate focus and concentration it is also benefical to expanding my world view. The cost-benefit ratio swings in favor of the internet even with its many distractions.
I can still play a decent game of chess, which requires focus and concentration, even after watching silly cat videos on youtube.
