[PODCAST] #380: Visible Children (with Laurette Lynn)

Laurette Lynn returns for a discussion about how parents and educators can improve communication and connection with young people.

From With an emphasis on communicating with youth, and infused with critical reasoning, we talk about perfecting parenting. We make a distinction between education and schooling and the ways in which destructive communication can negatively impact personal growth. And we discuss why we project our esteem issues onto our children. This truly is an intelligent, lively and great conversation. It is long, so take it with you and listen in segments, but I promise you, it’s worth every second!

How do teens respond to condescension?
How do young children respond to praise?
Should we even call young humans, “Children”?
What is “Peaceful Parenting” and can aggressive people even be peaceful parents?
Why are teenagers rebellious? And do they have to be?

  1. Dear Brett and Laurette,

What a treat! I’ve listened to your previous discourses on SSP, as well as Laurette’s previous podcast, of which I gained immensely from your discourse.

But, this and the following discussion is eons of detail, depth and breadth beyond the previous discussions. The two of you have flourished in innumerable ways and wow does it show.

I am so grateful to have the honor to be a fly on the wall!

I can’t thank you both enough for your endurance and commitment to the subject of our children, communication, and both uncovering and developing the methods to achieve the realization of individual freedom.

    In gratitude,
